About me

My name is Jesse ‘Juice’ Guice, my pronouns are he/him and they/them. I currently live with my wonderful partner of 14 years Tom and chosen family including my 8 year old shepherd mix Khaleesi in Chicago, Illinois. I am a graduate from Joliet Junior College School of Culinary Arts with an Associates in Applied Science in the Culinary Arts. The last 9 years have centered around a deeper understanding of cannabis and her benefits to the body. 

Cannabis came into my life at 23 with my consummate consumption of dabs (talk about jumping into the deep end).  I was immediately drawn to the variance in effects based on strain selection. At the same time I started to utilize cannabis as an ingredient, Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.  After mom’s first trial with cannabis use (at my suggestion) I received an ecstatic call from my dad. For the first time during treatment mom had slept through the night. Cannabis’s gift to her was better living with cancer, and I dedicate myself to sharing it with everyone.  With Mom’s background in research studies, she soon amassed a wealth of knowledge on the medical applications and medicinal effects of cannabis.  I was inspired to educate myself on the best way to incorporate cannabis in cooking, and attended culinary school. Devastation came when she passed in October 2019 during my first semester of school. Through grief, working full time, and the CoVID 19 pandemic my desire to create something that reflected passions only grew. To share the potential in whole person healing with cannabis.

My professional life reflects my passion for this unique plant. After recreational cannabis was legalized in 2020, I joined the ‘Green Tide’ of food services workers leaving that industry for greener occupations. For two years ‘Edibles Agent’ was my title at CrescoLabs. Manufacturing cannabis edibles gives continued insight to the foundations of the process. Whether infusing to make gummies, chocolate, butters, oils, or topicals the basics remain the same. My time as an edibles agent and a chef in the kitchen ended with a shoulder injury, and subsequent recovery. 

A short montage of part time cake decorating, launching a small business, then moving to the Windy City and we arrive at Jesse Guice Cannabis Agent. My time as a Budtender at ZenLeaf gave virtually unlimited access to this wonderful plant.  The knowledge learned, family found, and community built led me to a final conclusion. The full healing potential of cannabis can not be fulfilled within the bounds of capitalism. So here I am now, offering  knowledge to raise cannabis above her current “highest THC for the best weed’ mass marketability.  Here at Juicey Delites we believe in whole plant medicine chosen by the user.
